Carleton Leaders for Tomorrow Scholar, Sagal Ahmed, named as 2021 Truman Scholar

Sagal Ahmed, named as 2021 Truman Scholar

The Annexstad Family Foundation is proud to celebrate Leaders for Tomorrow scholar Sagal Ahmed ’22 as one of 62 students nationwide to be awarded a 2021 Harry S. Truman Scholarship. The Truman Scholarship is a prestigious award given to those who pursue a career in public service.

Sagal is a third-year Leaders for Tomorrow scholar who intends to graduate with a bachelor’s in political science next spring. Sagal joins a growing list of Annexstad scholars and alumni who have received this award. Sagal is Carleton’s first Truman Scholar in 20 years and its fifth overall since the program was founded in 1977.
