Amari Troutt
Amari Troutt ‘25, an LFT scholar at Gonzaga University, has dedicated her undergraduate years to building community, championing inclusion, and creating space for others to thrive. Through her studies in sports management, entrepreneurship, and visual literacy, Amari is preparing to make a lasting impact in the world of sports equity.
As President of the Black Student Union, Amari led with purpose, launching new traditions like the Grill and Chill event to unite campuses across Spokane, creating a BSU alumni network, and collaborating with local media to amplify student voices. On campus, she also serves as an undergraduate assistant for the women’s basketball team and is a member of the Sports Management Club.
After graduation, Amari plans to open a nonprofit gym that provides underserved youth with access to sports training, nutrition guidance, and recruitment support, bridging opportunity gaps through athletics.
