Chase Blackwell
Chase’s study abroad experience in Greece was both academically enriching and personally transformative, allowing him to complete his theatre minor while immersing himself in a vibrant cultural and artistic environment. “Exposing myself to different beliefs helped strengthen my own resolve,” he reflects. Seeing theatre, dance, and music performed in Greece expanded his appreciation for the arts and deepened his understanding of different cultures and perspectives.
Attending performances challenged his views on topics like women’s roles and government, broadening her awareness of how art shapes societal discourse. The highlight of his journey was visiting the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, where he stood in awe of the centuries-old venue that once hosted legendary performances.
Chase encourages future students to embrace the unknown, explore opportunities beyond their initial plans, and approach every experience with an open mind. The unexpected moments often become the most impactful and transformative.
