Estephanie Lopez ‘26, an LFT scholar at Clemson University, has used her time as an undergraduate to lead, innovate, and uplift others. Through her studies as a biomedical engineering major, Estephanie designed a baby temperature and respiration monitor from concept to final product. She continued to flex her technical and problem-solving skills in high impact projects during a recent internship with her dream company, Medtronic.

On campus, she serves as President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, serves on the student advisory board for the College of Engineering and Computing and Applied Sciences and mentors freshman pursuing degrees in STEM. As a leader on campus, Estephanie is creating opportunity for Hispanic students in STEM by hosting events to connect with industry leaders with students to explore career paths and job opportunities. 

After graduation, Estephanie plans to pursue a career in MedTech, innovating in cardiology and neurology and plans to focus on Design Quality Engineering.
