Grace Huguley
Before studying abroad, Grace didn’t see herself as a particularly creative person. However, immersing herself in Greece’s rich history and dynamic culture pushed her to think in new ways. “During my experience, I have been required to ‘think outside the box’ within different academic and social settings, which has ultimately influenced me to think more creatively and take different perspectives when faced with challenges,” she shares.
From analyzing Ancient Greek theater to adapting to a new environment, Grace discovered that creativity isn’t just about the arts – it’s about problem-solving, communication, and embracing different viewpoints. A highlight of her journey was a field study to Crete, where she and her classmates explored the island’s historical and cultural significance. “The professors did a great job of teaching us about many different aspects of the island,” she recalls.
For those considering studying abroad, Grace’s advice is simple: Go for it!
