Pomona College recently highlighted the inspiring journey of Roofie Konshie ’28, an economics major and proud recipient of the Annexstad Family Foundation’s Leaders for Tomorrow Scholarship. In the article, Konshie shares how participating in Pomona’s Explore Pomona fly-in program and receiving tailored financial aid were pivotal in her decision to attend the college. Her story underscores the transformative impact of accessible financial support. 

During her first year, Konshie engaged in meaningful experiences such as an externship at Stanford Health and an internship at the Benton Museum of Art. She also secured funding through Pomona’s Summer Undergraduate Research Program to study the Ethiopian diaspora in the U.S.
