My grove scholar advisor had brought it to my attention and told me it would be a fun and exciting learning experience.

My favorite excursion was going to see the volcanoes in La Fortuna. La Fortuna had a beautiful waterfall at the end of the mountain with a pretty view.
What advice would you offer other AFF scholars who are interested in studying abroad?
I would tell other AFF scholars not to be afraid to get out of their comfort zone. I was initially nervous about going to Costa Rica for a month but quickly got over it once I realized how much fun I was having. It opened my eyes to new ideas and opportunities outside the United States.
