The Annexstad Family Foundation is proud to celebrate Leaders for Tomorrow scholar Sagal Ahmed ’22 as one of 62 students nationwide to be awarded a 2021 Harry S. Truman Scholarship. The Truman Scholarship is a prestigious award given to those who pursue a career in public service. Sagal is a third-year Leaders for Tomorrow scholar who intends to graduate with a bachelor’s in political science next spring. Bessie Bauman Offers Pathways to a More Accessible and Inclusive Financial System
Bessie Bauman is driven to create economic stability and prosperity for all. This past summer, Bessie received the prestigious Yale Institute of Social and Policy Studies Director's Fellowship which supports Yale undergraduates conducting research on U.S. domestic policy. As a 2020 Director's Fellow, Bessie served as a Policy Intern for Prosperity Now!, a Washington, D.C. based non-profit whose mission is to ensure everyone has a clear path to financial stability, wealth and prosperity.
